The idol group Big Bang is hot in Thailand as well as in Korea.

Members of Big Bang recently visited Bangkok, Thailand to promote the live album of their Great Concert. The members took part in a press conference at a special outdoor stage of Bangkok's Siam Tower and signed autographs for 300 local fans.

Big Bang's management agency YG Entertainment said despite the sweltering heat, Thai fans arrived at the Siam Tower at nine in the morning, six hours before the scheduled event. By the time the press conference started, some 5,000 fans gathered at the venue. Some fans were also seen crowding around the large windows of nearby buildings to get a glimpse of the members. More than one hundred press personnel were also present at the event.

An official in charge of the group's promotional activities in Thailand said the number of Big Bang's Thai fans are increasing every day, especially after the release of each new album.

Less than a year since the group released its album in Thailand, the songs "Dirty Cash," "Lies," "Always" and "Last Goodbye" topped Thai MTV's international charts.

According to her official website, http://www.narajjang.com, the organizing committee of the Beijing Olympics created the special song entitled "Beijing Welcomes You." A total of 100 celebrities from China, Taiwain, Beijing and Korea took part in the song recording. The music video will be premiered on the eve of D-100 on April 30.

Famous celebrities who participated in the recording include Jackie Chan, Karen Mok, Nicholas Tse and Wang Leehom.

However, more than breast cancer, there needs to be more awareness of stomach cancer. Korea has the highest rate of stomach cancer in the world. Koreans are 5-7 times more likely to develop stomach cancer than white people. A diet high in salted food is thought to be a contributing factor.

At this point in time, there are at least 2 people I know who are fighting against this cancer (And another person recently diagnosed with liver cancer). So please (if anyone is listening), any type of campaign to bring greater awareness is desperately needed for the cancer that is taking away the most lives in Korea!

Rapper Turtle Man (real name Im Seong-hoon) of pop trio Turtles (Geobugi) died of a heart attack early Wednesday morning. He was found by his manager, who came to check up on him when he didn’t answer his phone. Turtle Man’s management agency announced that he apparently passed away in his sleep around 2 o’clock in the morning.

Turtle Man had collapsed in April 2005 after complaining of chest pains and difficulty in breathing. He was rushed to a hospital and underwent an emergency heart surgery. He was released after a month-long stay in the hospital, but had to receive another surgery in October 2005.

Nonetheless, the group Geobugi came back in 2006 with their fourth album “Buy a Turtle” and earned wide recognition with their hit “Airplane.” Geobugi’s other hits include “Bingo” and “Four Seasons.” Turtle Man’s funeral will take place on Friday and his remains will be rested in the same place where the remains of actresses Lee Eun-joo and Jung Da-bin are kept. Brian’s BFF and singer, Eru will enlist on May 1st, 2008. Similar to self-acclaimed plastic free singer, Kangta, Eru will release his album before he gets shipped off to his desk job for the next 26 months.

Before Eru starts shuffling papers, he will receive some sort of military training at Nonsan Military Training center for four weeks. From what I hear, they only learn how to hold their guns. How exciting.
